Troy Risk, Inc. offers a unique on-site sampling and testing service we call ProbeLab.  The service brings together a trained chemist and environmental geologist with a Geoprobe drilling rig and Hewlett Packard laboratory for use in soil and groundwater investigations.

This service offers our clients expedited environmental sampling and on-site laboratory analysis for site characterization. Common uses for our van-mounted Geoprobe/Laboratory have been for subsurface soil and groundwater investigations at chemical  manufacturing facilities, gasoline service stations and commercial sites.

ProbeLab is also emergency-spill response equipment that identifies chemical spills and provides toxicological data. The laboratory is equipped with a Hewlett Packard gas  chromatograph utilizing FID, PID and ECD detectors for determination of a wide variety of contaminants such as fuels,  solvents and other chemicals. The use of laboratory results allows real-time decisions during on-site work. The laboratory is also capable of soil vapor surveys, headspace analysis and purge and trap methodologies.
